Conservatories
If you want to add more light to your home or have a room where you can have the feeling of sitting outside in nature while staying cosy and warm then a conservatory is something you might want to consider. Not only do conservatories make great extra rooms and entertaining spaces but they are also a great way to get the most out of your garden and also to have a year round garden indoors.
With the right conservatory you will have many pleasurable hours of dining, entertaining and just lounging about.
Originally, conservatories were built to create a glasshouse effect, attracting and keeping warmth in.
This room is often a bridge between the interior of your house and your garden making it a casual, light place to enjoy.
There are many different styles of conservatory that you can choose from, only it is best to make sure it suits the style of your home. Victorian conservatories are ideal for older or period houses. These are semi-circular in shape. The more angular conservatories are better suited to modern homes. Other conservatory styles are the lean-to conservatory or Mediterranean conservatory which is simple by design. They are also known as sunrooms. If you have a bigger property you could have a P-shape conservatory which is a three or five-faceted conservatory combining the lean-to and Victorian styles. The T-shape conservatory is also ideal for larger homes and can be used to create more than one living space.
For a touch of grandeur you might want to think about building a gable-end conservatory. These are more Edwardian in style and have a more upright appearance.
The most important thing when planning your conservatory is that you have the right amount of space and light. You will want to discuss all your options with your conservatory builder or a decent conservatory company.
